How Epiview started
Epiview was started to provide epilepsy monitoring for families with loved ones who have tonic-clonic epileptic seizures. We have always had a technology development pathway that will expand our IT infrastructure capabilities & services.
What’s important to familes at home is not the same for institustion
For families respite is important & that is where our monitored service comes in, providing that much-needed support for families at home, allowing them to get a good night sleep without having to worry about agency carers being as attentive as they should be during their shifts.

Epiview Corporate for organisations who need to provide nighttime epilepsy monitoring.
At best a memeber of staff may monitor a user every 15-20 mins for about 2 mins (clinical settitngs normally monitor at this level)
That is between 10-13.5% of an hour. A seizure lasting 3-5 minutes can be deadly, even at the most diligent level over 85% of the time a user is not monitored.
Using Epiview Corporate monitoring is instantanious & continuous if they same monitoring regime used as we us from our monitoring centre.
Organisations have staff & support teams ready
Many organisations like charities, care homes, local authorities & supported housing trusts have teams on standby to support individuals with complex needs during the night.
Epiview corporate allows any organisation to take advantage of our infrastructure but using their own staff to actually monitor the feeds for their own users.

There is a capital cost/deposit for the equipment, then a monthly license fee per user per day. The cost varies depending on the number of users but there is a minimum monthly fee.
Installation, decommissioning & making good is not included in the monthly fee

Epiview owns the equipment & data.
Is the system secure?
Yes, feeds are end to end encrypted. Data is anonymous in the data centre
Can the system be integrated with other equipment? eg. smart watch?
At the momment our smart watch integration is in late stage development/early stage testing. Only approved integrations will be allowed, we plan to offer more biometric feeds in the near future.

At the momment we only offer visual monitoring but we are working on other monitoring methods currently & we envisage being able to offer these in the next couple of months after completing trials.
Does the camera have to be fixed?
No the camera does not have to be fixed although we envisage that most will be permanantly installed.
What maintenance issues are there?
None, we can detect fluctuations in performance of critical components, we will supply replacement hard ware in this case. Physically damaged equipment will not be replaced free of charge.
What happens if there is a system failure?
We have back up power, Uniterupted Power Supplies & generator, duplex hardware & internet connections. It is more likely there is a fault at the installation, if we detect any interuption we contact the relevant users & advise them there is a problem.
How organisations implement Epiview Corporate Monitoring
- Indentify the total number of potential users for the system
We need to know the maximum number of locations that need monitoring. This could include locations where special installations are required.
This does not mean all need to be monitored
